Summer Gardening Checklist
Here’s a list of chores to do in the summer to get the most out of your garden.
☼ Pull weeds when you see first see them growing so that they don’t overtake your garden.
☼ Inspect plants for insects and diseases and treat accordingly.
☼ Remove any deadheads from flowers in order to encourage new growth.
☼ Set your lawn mower blade to 3 inches and leave the grass clippings on the lawn. If you trim your lawn too short, it will turn brown. As well, the grass clippings will provide your lawn with natural fertilizer.
☼ Harvest any early fruits, such as strawberries, and enjoy!
