Fall Gardening Checklist
Here’s a list of chores to do in the fall to reap the rewards from your garden and prepare it for a long winter.
☼ Harvest crops as they become ready.
☼ Watch the weather forecast and cover up plants to protect them from a cool evening. For crops, you have the option to harvest or cover plants.
☼ Rake up leaves and add to the compost pile.
☼ Plant bulbs that will bloom in early spring.
☼ Cover wind-sensitive evergreens with burlap and secure the burlap with twine.
☼ Bring in houseplants that have spent the summer outside.
