
Here is a picture of the large Quarry Garden. It was once an open pit mine. The stones from the mine were used to form the base of the roads in and around Vancouver until the mine was closed in 1911. The city bought the land in 1928, but it wasn't until 1948 that the park was developed and transformed into what you see today.
