Phipps Conservatory and
Botanical Gardens
Construction of the Japanese Courtyard Garden began in May of 1991 and it was opened to the public in September of that year. It replaced a lath storage area, so that visitors could have a new area to visit. The Garden was designed by Hoichi Kurisu, an award winning designer known all over the world.
