Located behind the main entrance is the Palm House featuring palms and seasonal plants. The Palm House was under construction from 1909 to 1910 and was designed and built by Robert McCallum, Toronto's city architect at the time. It was built to replace a pavilion that had stood on that location until it burned down in 1902.
